Welcome to Grade 1!

I am so excited to work with you and your child! It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning and lots of adventures. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us! I thought you might like to know a little bit more about me.

I grew up in Fort Saskatchewan and have lived there most of my life. I went to John Paul II High School and graduated from the University of Alberta in 2014. I come from a big family of 7, with two older brothers, an older sister and a younger sister. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My other hobbies include: biking, reading, gardening and playing board games.

This will be my fifth year of teaching and my third year teaching Grade One. I have also taught the PALS program at Lamont Elementary School and at Glen Allan Elementary School. I previously spent two years as a literacy teacher at the Centre for Literacy in Edmonton.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns throughout the year. I am always happy to chat! I look forward to a great year together!
